Summer Sanders has created a truly beautiful book that is both informing and inspiring! With absolutely beautiful photos! Her love and passion for healthy living and fresh, whole foods shines from those photos! She explains the ins and outs of the raw food way of eating, including delicious and easy recipes, which makes this book really helpful for beginners. But she also takes us on an internal journey, sharing her own story, and asking us to think and feel about what our bodies are truly asking us for and to open ourselves up to that truth, love and joy. This book really inspired me! She also includes a 5 day juice cleanse that is a wonderful jump start for a raw food way of eating! Thank you Summer! 💗 Your book has inspired me and helped me more than you will ever know! :)
Got this book in early January after happening upon the author's gem of a juicery during a getaway to Sedona, AZ. I knew I had to have her book and have not been disappointed! Its easy to read, creative, and all of the recipes are thoughtfully delicious. I highly recommend.
This is my new favorite resource for creating truly simple and delicious, highly nutritious meals. I am not 100 percent raw or vegan. And once your purchase the superfoods to have on hand, it’s cinch to make something quickly that will elevate your relationship to health. I admire Summer and have been a customer in her juice store since she opened. So thankful to now have some recipes at home for my family! Highly recommend this!
Summer Sanders' book brings us into her colorful and juicy world though unique and original recipes. The book contains several sections including the basics of a raw, plant-based diet. The recipe section contains well over 100 recipes such as Classic Raw Lasagne, Fettucine Alfredo (raw), Rainbow Rice Rolls, as well as a huge variety of plant-based milks and tonics to fit any craving, juices and delicious desserts, and much more. The cleanse section gives a straight-forward 5-day guide with simple easy to follow recipes for morning, noon, night and throughout the day. There is also a section on a holistic approach to health and beauty beyond food and an appendix with resources that takes you beyond the book. The author's voice throughout is positive and encouraging to someone like me starting out with healthier living. The book is full of colorful original photos that pair well with the writing and recipes.
We look forward to our spring visits to Sedona to jumpstart our fitness and shake off the New England winter. Breakfast everyday at The Local Juicery is an integral part of our jumpstart. I was thrilled to see Summer had published a book sharing so most of her wonderful creations. I highly recommend this book, as well as a trip to the LJ â¤ï¸
I had to change my diet and was bored with the usual salad and smoothies.I got lots of new ideas and her recepies are great! I love the sunflower seed, hemp seeds milk. Though all the milk recepiece are delicious and SO EASY!!!!

This is a good starter book, but if you've already entered the raw world the recipes aren't going to blow your mind.
