I have been an avid fan of Bob Hannah since I was a flagman at the first Southwick, MA national motocross in 1976. I had read about his debute in the Florida Winter series and read the coverage of his upset victory in the 125 national round at Hangtown. Being on the track and seeing him in action even though he did not win showed me a level of determination and courage I had never see in the 3 years I had worked at Southwick and saw top New England experts in action including Jimmy Ellis prior to actively racing the national. Bob would be one of a few select that even to this day I would stand in line for hours for an autograph from.The book was everything I expected and more. The input from friends, his mechanics, the photos of Bob in action over a 13 year career made for informative and entertaining reading.
awesome book on BOB HANNA, if your a fan you won't be diapointed
This book is a must have for any motocross fan. Its an exceptional value with great photography and an inside view from a friend of Bob Hannah"s. I recommend this to all motorcycle enthusiast's. Great job Tom Madigan!
Bob Hannah is one of the most famous motocross racers in the world, he beat the europeans at their own game (Roger DeCoster to be more specific) when no other Americans could, and got the ball rolling for the American dominance that we still enjoy to this day. Very outspoken and a tough as nails competitor with a hang on till the end style, he would do whatever it took to win. This book follows him from childhood riding the deserts, all the way to his plane business and beyond, if you're even the slightest motocross fan, you'll want to check this book out, the photograghs are awsome, and I like the way it is written. Very informative, and if you lived through those Golden years of MX, this has a lot of nostalgia also.
